A native of Southern California, drummer David Ashkenazy has immersed himself in a wide variety of musical styles including Rock, Jazz, Klezmer, Reggae, Blues, R&B and Bluegrass. He has studied with Jeff Hamilton, Joe Labarbera. Peter Erskine, and Kenny Washington. After 7 years in Los Angeles, he moved to New York City and actively performs in a wide variety of musical environments.
